Afternoon Window (4:05 / 4:25 PM ET)

Jaguars at Broncos — Broncos -2.5, O/U 45.5 Our Pick: Jaguars 24, Broncos 20 (Jaguars +2.5) Fun revenge spot for Jacksonville, they beat Denver 34-20 on this same field back in Week 16 last season. Denver’s Week 1 was rough offensively, a league-low 3.7 yards per play with multiple Bo Nix turnovers, and neither Courtland Sutton nor Jaylen Waddle got going. They’re banged up at receiver too, Marvin Mims Jr. and RJ Harvey were both non-participants to open the week, on top of Jerry Jeudy already on IR. Jacksonville’s riding a dominant Week 1 from Trevor Lawrence, 245 yards and 4 touchdowns on a 150.6 rating. We like the Jaguars and the points here.

Raiders at Chargers — Chargers -6.5, O/U 43.5 Our Pick: Chargers 31, Raiders 20 (Chargers -6.5) Los Angeles was the target of the Week 1 upset special, losing outright to Arizona as home favorites, and Herbert was underwhelming, 209 yards, one score, one pick, while the defense couldn’t get off the field against the Cardinals. We’re banking on a big bounce-back game from that Chargers offense this week though. Vegas should keep this one respectable, their pass rush got home five times last week and Ashton Jeanty looked great in his debut, but we like Los Angeles to answer with a much sharper performance and cover here at home.

Dolphins at 49ers — 49ers -13.5, O/U 45.5 Our Pick: 49ers 27, Dolphins 16 (49ers moneyline) San Francisco just went into Australia and handled a Super Bowl-favorite Rams roster 27-7, and that alone says enough about where this team is right now. Miami’s already overmatched with Malik Willis at quarterback after a 27-13 loss to the Raiders in Week 1. 13.5 is a big number to lay this early in the season though, so we’re staying off the spread and just taking the 49ers to win.

Seahawks at Cardinals — Seahawks -3.5, O/U 40.5 Our Pick: Seahawks 23, Cardinals 17 (Seahawks moneyline) Drew Lock gets his first start of the season with Darnold still out, and that alone makes this closer to a toss-up than the original number suggested, this line was as high as -10 before the injury and has come all the way down to -3.5. But we think Seattle’s defense is just too much for Arizona to deal with, even with a backup QB running the offense. Worth flagging this has some letdown-game energy too, Seattle coming off an emotional Week 1 comeback and playing on the road against a Cardinals team riding real confidence after their own upset last week. We’re staying off the spread and just taking the Seahawks moneyline.

Commanders at Cowboys — Cowboys -4.5, O/U 50.5 Our Pick: Cowboys 31, Commanders 24 (Cowboys -4.5) Prescott didn’t have his best game in Week 1, but Dallas has too many weapons for that to continue. Javonte Williams in the backfield, CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens at receiver, and Jake Ferguson as a legitimately effective tight end give this offense multiple ways to beat you. We like Dallas’ offense to bounce back in a big way here, and with the total sitting at the highest number of the Sunday slate, both of these defenses have work to do. We like the Cowboys to cover at home.

Our Best Bet of the Afternoon Slate: Cowboys -4.5 over the Commanders. Too many offensive weapons in Dallas for Prescott not to bounce back here.

That’s the full Sunday card. Prime Time Pick for Colts-Chiefs and Giants-Rams coming in its own post. Couch Side Sports out. Let us know your locks.
